this is part 2 of a series of pride paintings i am working on. i think there has been much progress in america for the LGBT
community, especially since stonewall (or so i have read).  but still so many remain closeted, and i just feel so sad about that.  i
personally cannot hide that i am gay.  sure, some people may think i am a "mountain woman," but most people are probably going
to assume i'm a lezzie.  i just wish so badly that from the beginning of time, all gays were able to be out and flaming for the world
to see.  i think we'd all be surprised a bit to know the truth.  i do believe whole heartedly that even though we may not know the
true sexuality of the people who helped to build up this country, a great deal of them were gay.  there were gays who helped build
the democratic government we have today. there were gays who helped develop our school system.  and i have no doubt there
were gays who helped with the first moon landing.  we have always been and will always be a contributing part of this country.
